| | | SSecom was developed using the most powerful and extensively used scripting tools on the internet (PHP and mySQL). PHP is a server-side scripting language for creating dynamic Web pages and is most often compared to ASP, Java or Perl. But unlike these other languages, PHP has an advantage in that it is truly an open source language that can be used on multiple server environments. PHP is considered to be faster, easier to understand, and easier to customize. | | | | | The web server or hosting company must support MySQL databases. SSecom is compatible with MySQL versions from 3.23 to 5.0.x. You will need to have access to a MySQL database. Make sure you have the following information ready when attempting the installation: your MySQL server/host name, your database name, your username and password for MySQL access. | | | | | | | Your web server or hosting company must support PHP 4.1 or better or PHP 5.x.x which is recommended and supported. GD Library, ZLib Support and cURL support are also needed in order to use some of the advanced features. | | | | Web Hosting | | | | Depending on which distribution is used, a fresh installation can require up to 60 MB of disk space. The database space used by SSecom depends on the number of products, customers and orders stored in it. Accordingly, database space requirements may vary from as little as 1 megabyte for small shops to over 100 megabytes for large stores. | | | | SSecom comes encoded with Ioncube or Zend. | | | | If you have any questions regarding your enviroment please do not hesitate to contact our support. |
